Welcome to Bay Area Psychotherapy Associates (BAPA)

If you’re here, you are probably looking for help in dealing with some difficulty in your life. It may be a relationship conflict with your partner or child or parent. It may be a life transition like the loss of a loved one, divorce, or an upcoming job change. Or you may be experiencing depression or anxiety that is getting in the way of living a full life. These, and many other issues, can have you searching for professional help.

We offer that help. BAPA’s associates work with the full range of human issues and at all stages of the human life-cycle – children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Our therapists meet with individuals, couples, and families. We have many years of experience in assisting people to work through family conflicts, self-esteem issues, trauma recovery, sexual issues, and others.

About Us:

Bay Area Psychotherapy Associates is an interdisciplinary group of independent practitioners, who are fully licensed professionals. We stay current with advances in our profession through consistent, continuing education, and we offer high quality services.

Education and Experience: Each therapist brings years of experience to the problems their clients face. The rich background of each therapist provides an opportunity for each client to benefit from that experience. These backgrounds include: work at Juvenile Hall, domestic violence programs, school based and agency settings, inpatient psychiatric facilities and many more. All of our therapists hold a Master’s degree.

Accessibility: Our entire office building is wheelchair accessible; including elevators to the third floor. We are conveniently located near the Pruneyard in Campbell, CA, adjacent to San Jose — also 2 blocks from the VTA Light Rail on Hamilton Avenue.

Availability: Our therapists are accessible and responsive to telephone contact during and after office hours, and most use email for appointment changes, etc. Every effort is made to accommodate clients’ schedules for appointments, including morning, afternoon and evening sessions — some of us have weekend hours available.

Insurance: Some of the therapists at BAPA accept major healthcare insurance, and all will create monthly statements to give to clients for their use in possibly being reimbursed by insurance companies.

Confidentiality: As required in the State of California, all counseling sessions are confidential. Our aim is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for you to do the work that you would like to do, and then move on with your life in a healthier way. The entire suite is heavily soundproofed for added privacy.

While the associates at BAPA share a few expenses and administrative functions, as well as office space and a name, we want you to know that we are each completely independent in providing you with clinical services, and we are each solely responsible for those services, including fees, insurance and availability. Each therapist maintains his or her own confidential records.

Please feel free to contact any of us through or independent contact info below.
